Subject: DG: EH: Good PISCES or Bad PISCES?

In the current Emerald Hammer outline
it's proposed that we present a post-Shan PISCES to help describe the
international intelligence/law enforcement cooperation involved in the
campaign. I have a suggestion, though: let's keep PISCES the way they are.
After all, "Countdown" has not even been released, so many players may not
have had a chance to take on the group in their current state, and many
Keepers (me among them) have not had a chance to roleplay it. I love the
idea of an expert organization, filled with the best intelligence officers
from a nation with Britain's history in the field, being infiltrated by
"outsiders" who cannot be detected by ordinary means. The players have the
challenge of trying to find friendlies in the group--friendlies who in turn
have to decide whether the players are trustworthy or are part of "Them."
Those within PISCES who are not infested may have no idea of the nature of
the terrible situation, only that they are governed, life and death, by
people who have changed, perhaps radically, in their attitudes and
ruthlessness. Those who are DG Friendly will be all the more desperate for
the fact that they may be found out at any time--and then they would be
accused of treason or, more likely, given to THEM to join the ranks of the
slaves. They will be even more in danger, and hence more courageous for
braving it, than Friendlies found within the Majestic group.
Of course, we know all that already: I just want to remind everyone that
this is a situation ripe for top-notch conspiracy roleplaying. Let Delta
Green and its allies be the outsiders in the UK, never able to be absolutely
certain who is truly helping them and who is serving PISCES' secret masters.
Whattaya think?

BTW, nobody backed me up on keeping PISCES eeevil in The Emerald Hammer, but I
still think it's the way to go, so THERE! ;-)

BTW, Shane, I'm with ya on keeping PISCES evil. If the storyline demands a
DG-allied organization in Britain, maybe you could fudge the DG timeline and
put Emerald Hammer pre-Shan takeover. But we don't know how long PISCES has
been bad...might've been for years...

There are always those small time independants that we all know and
love....
Perhaps the guys at the top of PISCES are bad, but the rest of them might be
good, they can't all have been turned... individual units or departments (shows
how little I know about PISCES yet...) may still be following their original
orders, sometimes working for humanity, and sometimes working against, depending
on how much interest their (turned) supervisors take.
Keep em coming tho'.

Shane Ivey, do you think that you can sit there oozing in your inbred
birth defects, viewing your snuff child pornography and DISRESPECT ME?!
YOU BETTER RECOGNIZE~!

ARE YOU QUESTIONING ME? DON'T EVER QUESTION ME~! I AM ALWAYS RIGHT! YOU
ARE WRONG AND DUMB! Also, you suck. Now my Evil Minions ($0.99 ea., $10.00
per dozen at the Forces of Evil SuperStore - and also [TM] - only while
supplies last, limited time only. Offer valid in 49 states, Sorrrry
Tennessee!) will escort you via EZ-Go Golf Cart (TM) to the Great Pit of
Karkoon attraction at the Tattoonine Amusement Park. There you shall
digest in the belly of the almighty Sarlacc for a thousand years. Say "Hi"
to Boba Fett and the gang for me. MUAHAHAHAHAH~!
I just wanted to Keep It Simple, Stupid. However, you just go ahead and
write the "sidebar" which delineates the optional "PISCES Problem" and
we'll pretend that you never disagreed with me. Or else I'll drop my
garagantuan ego on your house.

It could be that PISCES was founded by the Shan, or Golden Dawn, or Monty
Python alumni. We'll never know until the COUNTDOWN reaches Zero. That's
one reason why I wanted to ignore the whole stinking mess for a while.
