GRAND FINALE

ZEBULON PHARR MANOR HOUSE

The Pharr manor, long neglected by the curators of the Zebulon Pharr collection, collapsed in the aftershocks of the 1989 earthquakes. The few staff were mostly in the main building at the time, and were killed. The remains of the house and land became the property of the City of Oakland, which promptly condemned it and forgot about it.

However, the collection was not lost, it was stored in secure basement forms, where the scholars, stored, re-stored and cataloged the scrolls and folio's of old Zebulon's life's work. There are many steel lined rooms with small chambers that contain working vacuum pumps, freezers, heaters, and dehumidifiers.

And it is here that the Necromancer plans to make his sacrifice for the glory of the Fourth Reich. The manor has long been a sight of occult significance, it is conveniently out of the way, and the presence of an illegal rave can be easily concealed in the relatively soundproof basements. The bodies of his victims may lay their for some time afterwards too.

As an added bonus he has a choice of methods to use on them, to increase the fear and horror at the time of their deaths, and gain more power for the Karotechia. He can tear them apart in vacuum chambers, burn them in the cookers, freeze them, release poison gas into locked rooms, crush them in book presses, let his Ritter team move in with SMG's, or finally, and this option he really does like, leave a few resuscitated casualties tear them to shreds and eat them. For added amusement he may resuscitate one or two of the ravers and send them back to their friends again.

GROUNDS

Are extremely overgrown and ruinous, bits of fallen over building and the rotting hulks of dead, collapsed tree's lie strewn about the place, and the earth has a slightly rippled effect, leading to small hillocks and ravines. Anyone moderately competent at sneak ought to be able to get in.

THE MANORHOUSE

The manor-house has mostly collapsed in on itself, and the ruins are slowly being reclaimed by the plants from the grounds. The main hall has had most of the rubble cleared away as far as the steps that lead down into the basement area. On the day of the rave, several large black mercedes vans will be parked in the grounds. Concealed from the air by tree's. The unsafe area's of the house will be taped off, and Aryan Brotherhood "ubermen" will be stripped to the waist and working like a chain-gang under the watchful eyes of the Jaeger-Team.

By the night of the rave, road flares will have been lit, to guide ravers into the grounds, where they park randomly, and head towards the manor-house, where a small security team waits to body-search them for weapons (and tools which may prove useful in escaping the Bischofe's trap). Once past that, they can buy their choice of drugs, if they forgot their own, and head down the stairs into the basement chambers.

The airlock at the base of the stairs has been completely refitted, and is used to seal the noise in. The queue is very long already, as only four people can pass through the airlock at any one time.

THE BASEMENT

The basement has been redecorated ready for the rave, an expensive light system has been fitted, and the walls re-painted. Some of the original decor remains; in several rooms, long strings like washing lines have (copied) pages of the Kitab Al-Azif sealed in polythene strung along them. Beneath them ravers, dance and trip, unaware of the evil hanging over their heads. Some of the vacuum chambers have been outfitted as chill-out rooms, allowing overheated ravers a sanctuary from the throbbing beats outside. Two large bars have been set up, selling water and large kegs as well as a fair selection of soft (and hard) drugs.

A few of the smaller chambers have been roped off, and a stern looking Jaeger stops nosy kids finding their way into the offices of the Bischofe, whilst he prepares the spells that will collect their dying lifeforce.

STAFF

A fair number of temporary bar staff have been hired from the night, mostly from the student crowd, and from minority races. The uniform is skimpy, but the pay is excellent, after all, it's not as though the Bischofe has to pay up! Security is made up of Aryan Brotherhood members, scared into keeping their true feelings for the people before them hidden.

Heavy security like on the Liebenstoten room, the entrance and the Bischoffe's chambers has been supplied by the remaining members of the Jaeger team, bolstered by AB members with huge, shit-eating grins.

KAROTECHIA

There are Karotechia dupes on the grounds of the rave tonight, The Aryan Brotherhood have been ordered to provide staff and security for the site. The Karotechia themselves are being represented by the Bischoffe, his surviving Ritters, and one or two of the Liebenstoten!

THE RAVERS

THE PLANS

WHERE IS THE COLLECTION?

Most of the shelves are empty, savvy DG agents may wander what happened to all the books. Those with a little more sense might take a look at the shop records of one Jakov Rosenberg, who may have passed them the information regarding the second entry-point to the basements.

Let them work it out for themselves.

AFTERMATH

So, the Emerald shell has been cracked, and if Delta Green had not previously re-acquired the Karotechia, they certainly have now. With any luck your agents have brought an expert back into the fold, a World War Two vintage agent with knowledge of their aims and methods. They might have killed a Bischoffe, and more than a few Bauer, hopefully they have saved the lives of hundreds of "innocent" San Franciscans.

But what if they didn't manage it?

FULL VICTORY

The PC's foiled the sacrifice, killed the Bischoffe and retrieved the book. The Karotechia has nothing, and has lost a lot. Congratulate them, had over some SAN rewards and make them work harder next time. Cell A demands that the Al-Azif is shipped to them as soon as possible, who knows whether it actually reaches them, Fed-Ex is notoriously lax with occult works especially when they pass through a sorting depo in New York.

PARTIAL VICTORY

They foiled the sacrifice but they missed the Bischoffe, they may have the book, they might have had to relinquish it to the Tong. Either way, the Karotechia is down some valuable personel, and they don't have the book. Give the agents a few points of SAN, and a well-deserved break.

PARTIAL FAILURE

The Sacrifice went ahead, but the POW gained was not transmitted to Bitterich. If the Tong got the Al-Azif, the Tong Sorcerer will keep it for a few weeks in a _very_ secure location, and it will eventually find it's way into the hands of Stefan Alzis. This will leave the Tong favouarbly inclined towards Delta Green, so perhaps they will find they have interests in common again in another chapter.

FAILURE

They're probably dead, another cell will take over from them. Bitterich has his POW, and his Al-Azif, unfortunately it will take some time before he can collect a chinese expert to manage the translation. It's as much use to him as the Gothic Necronomicon. Still, mustn't grumble, he has quite a lot of POW in his dagger, and a new enemy to contemplate. He'll stay busy until the next time.

SURVIVOR'S GUILT

There are going to be a lot of alienated people tonight, lots of ravers looking for freedom and happiness who had it taken away from them by fire and blood. They're going to need answers and help. If they don't get it, then they may start down their own path to the end-times.

LINKS FORWARD

  1. The Kung Lok triad are loosely tied to the Triad Dave Farnell is going to use in Chapter Nine.
They're probably under the same Umbrella organization, so, depending on whether DG left the tome with the Tong, or ended up gunning them down, the Agents will either have an ally or an enemy when they start this chapter.
After the chapter is complete, the Karotechia will arrange for drugs to be smuggled to the Aryan Brotherhood rather than them having to steal it from other producers.
Of course if the AB messed up badly, the Agents may find some cryptic messages to this effect in the personal effects of it's leader, or the Bischoffe.
  2. Links to Japan? I can't actually think of any bugger!
