Hello All,
Got a bit more of my section done today not as much as yesterday but
it's getting confusing after reading what on the EH site. As a
result much of the following will probably be changed (the specifics
not the overall theme).
This post deals with the actions Of R. Gault and with Volume 13 of
the Revelations of Glakki, I haven't put any spells into this volume,
i can if people think it warrents it. I don't see it as Vol 13
officialy thats just the title someone in its past has had bound onto
the cover.
Any suggestions, criticisms, ego boosts to the usual address please.
BTW EMERALD GROTTO refers to the end of this chapter.
And now on with the show
Gault.
Gault's mission is simple he is in the UK at the same time as the
investigators but they have very little chance to directly affect what
he has planned. He's here to "collect" a special individual for Dr.
Frank. He won't be taking any direct action against the PC's unless
they are very effective in this chapter. 4 days after the PC's
arrive, (or whenever you want), he will meet up in Bristol with the
local Bischofe Jason Groiner, and obtain the copy of the Revelations
of Glakki, Gault will by that time have in his possession the Gothic
Language expert ****** from Oxford Visiting Professor from the
Vatican. He will meet with Groiner with the expert in tow, the
Bischofe has no reason to suspect Gault is working on a private
mission for Dr. Frank after all. The only hope the PC's have of
interacting with Gault is if they have located the Bischofe in the
scenario, if he's bought the books for example, and are watching him
they will see the exchange take place. Assuming they are quick enough
off the mark they will have either a photo or a good description of
Gault as the exchange will take place in the open and appear as if
three people met up and then walked off together. Gault has used
Dominate on the Gothic expert, (Dr Frank has taught him this spell
specifically for this mission to ensure the expert is undamaged), so
he will go along with whatever he's told. He will then leave with
Gault for London. Gault will then saty for another 2 days inspiring
the local troops with personal appearances. The expert will be kept
securely in Bunker 68 under the Thames until Gault is ready to go.
The PC's will have two chances to get at Gault and foil his plan,
(well they will have three chances to get at him but only 2 to spoil
his plan). Assuming they follow him after he's got the gothic expert
and the Revelations of Glakki, they won't have any problems in
trailing him all the way to London, (the gothic expert is almost
comical in his ability to stand out shall we say skills of; Be Obvious
85%, Attract Attention 99%, Dress Sense -35%), and into the
underground where after a power failure for a few moments they will
loose him and the expert. The second chance they get to follow him
comes if they have photographs of him or more likely the Gothic
expert. The chance comes from the new security system which is being
trialed in London, they will want ot match names to faces and will in
all likelyhood try to use the Metropolitian polic's rsources, CCTV
cameras linked to image recognition software, (note, this is real.
Scary or what?), on which the PC's will if they use their embassy
contacts correctly will be able to run a search for the "Terrorists"
they are searching for. A good photo of Gault should be next to
impossible, but if your feeling generous go ahead, however the
Professor's photo is available on the net and on any of his books.
This will lead the team to the underground where they will see the two
board a tube and then not get off at any of the stations afterwards.
Thus they will have a tube line to search. The third chance they have,
is not so much a chance as a trap, the bischofe has in his possession
details of where Gault is, however he checks in with Gault every 6
hours to ensure security until Gault has left should the PC's acquire
the information from the Bischofe, by thye time they get to London
Gault will be expecting resistance and will have taken steps to ensure
a warm then cold welcome for the team.
After this scenario the Players could have photographic ID of Gault,
eventually they will try and ID him, this should be difficult but not
impossible, just allow them to put in a request for ID and then decide
when you want them to find out or if cell A decided *you are not
cleared for that information* always a worrying development.
The Revelations Of Glakki Volume 13.
This volume is not an actual part of the Revelations itself, instead
it takes the form of a reference work compiled by a seeker after
immortality and eventual Glakki worshiper. This Glakki cultist lived
in Germany near the town of Zolta and is written in both Latin and
Gothic, with parts of the text in both providing a means of
translation of the, by now, dead gothic language. This is a backstop
in case the PC's manage to eliminate the Gothis Language expert that
Gault is after.
Be seeing you
Rob.
