Walther P-99

This is a polymer gun for the next century, Walther needed a replacement for the venerable P-88, but one that was not similar to the older Glocks. Development for the P99 started in 1994 to exhaustive German Police Specs.
The design brief was for a lightweight, self-defence weapon that was cheaper than the previous model P-88.

In the end, the P-99 was the result, a weapon that has already garnered much attention by being used by Commander James Bond in the film tomorrow never dies.

FEATURES

The P99 has a loaded-chamber indicator, when the chamber is empty, the extractor is flush with the slide; when loaded, a red dot is visible to the shooter, and the extractor stands out from the slide, thus the operator can tell whether is chamber is loaded in the dark.
The De-cocking safety is NOT A lever, rather it is a plate in the top of the slide, when the weapon is cocked the plate is raised. Pushing down on it de-cocks the weapon.
Long, first-round Trigger pull to avoid negligent discharges.
No external operating levers or hammer so it will not snag when drawn from a holster or under clothing
Double Action Only (first round) trigger available
